Astrocamp

At AstroCamp’s exciting one-week and two-week sessions, get ready to explore space, train like NASA astronauts, take a look into the cosmos through our state-of-the-art telescopes, rock climb on Mars, fly through the air on our 2000-foot zip line, and to do tons more! California State University Dominguez Hills: Young Scholars Program
For Just $76 per course, high school juniors and seniors with at least a B (3.0) average can take college courses via distance learning through the Young Scholars Program @CSUDH. Students can take up to 2 classes per semester and earn up to 24 units overall. Credit for these courses is recorded on a CSUDH transcript and transferable to any college or university. Classes are are available in the following subjects: Art, Sociology, Philosophy & Physics. Classes are webcast live on the internet M-Th from 3-4:30. The Carleton Liberal Arts Experience (CLAE) will select 52 high school students and bring them to Carleton, all expenses paid, for a one-week summer program. The CLAE program introduces the strengths of a liberal arts education through an array of courses in science, art, social sciences, and technology. Past course offerings included:

  • Economics: Tools for Business, Public Policy and Life

Eligibility: Students of African American descent or students who have an interest in African American culture are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be college-bound high school students who are current sophomores.

Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project offers various leadership programs to develop students' political and cultural awareness and prepare for college. Curry College's Summer Programs for High school Seniors with Learning Differences
The College Search East & West programs help high school seniors learn about themselves as learners-understanding their strengths and overcoming their challenges-in order to successfully navigate the college search process and find their best college "fit." Pratt Institute

Summer Program

Brooklyn Campus

Every summer, Pratt sponsors a college-level program for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors at its Brooklyn campus. The program attracts about 400 students, both domestic and international. It is an intensive immersion experience in art, design, architecture, or creative writing.

Students choose an elective course such as fine arts/painting and drawing, graphic design, illustration (traditional or digital), fashion design, photography, architecture, cultural studies, or creative writing. Students develop their creative skills, build an effective portfolio for college admission, and earn four college credits. Scholarships are available based on merit.

UC Davis School of Education Young Scholars Program

2016 Program Dates: June 19 - July 30, 2016

The UC Davis Young Scholars Program is a summer residential research program designed to expose approximately 40 high achieving high school students to the world of original research in the natural sciences with emphases on the biological, environmental and agricultural sciences. To be eligible for the summer of 2016, students must be currently enrolled as sophomores or juniors in high school. UCD-YSP participation is not limited to California students. Participants in the 2016 UCD-YSP will work one-on-one with research faculty and research groups in state of the art laboratories for six weeks. Each student will work on an individual project and prepare a journal quality paper and symposium presentation about their work. In addition to scientific research, the UCD-YSP strives to introduce participants to the climate and culture of living and working on a university campus. Staff make every effort to model the experiences that participants will have during their first years of college. Please note, substantial fee reductions (up to 90% of cost) are available for student on a needs-based sliding scale.

UC Riverside Summer Institute

The Summer Academy program offers you the chance to join the UC Riverside community of more than 150 advanced high school students.
